Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roofer/Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and roofing, with the ability to work effectively with various tools and materials. This role involves performing a range of tasks related to roofing projects, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Duties

Install, repair, and maintain roofs and solar panels using various materials such as slate, metal, and tiles.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for roofing tasks.
Assist in fabrication and carpentry work as needed during roofing projects.
Perform heavy lifting and manoeuvring of materials on-site.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
Conduct basic plumbing and masonry tasks as required during roofing installations or repairs.
Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.

Qualifications

Proven experience in roofing, solar panel installation or general construction is preferred.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, fabrication, carpentry and masonry is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the day.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality work.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively on-site.
