Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commercial Catering Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing commercial catering equipment across various client sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong technical background and a passion for delivering high-quality service within the catering and hospitality industry. The ideal applicant will possess a proactive approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on commercial catering equipment including ovens, fryers, dishwashers, and refrigeration units.
Diagnose faults using schematics and technical manuals, ensuring efficient resolution of issues.
Work with small teams during installation or repair projects, providing guidance and supervision where necessary.
Install new equipment in accordance with health and safety standards and client specifications
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults, utilising specialised tools and diagnostic equipment.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs undertaken, and parts utilised
Ensure all work complies with relevant safety regulations and company policies.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
Ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and manuals effectively.
Proficiency in diagnosing faults in complex systems such as refrigeration, air conditioning, and electrical components.
Knowledge of construction practices related to commercial kitchen installations.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
A recognised qualification in engineering ie Comcat 1,3, 5. This role offers an engaging environment for those eager to develop their expertise within the commercial catering sector while contributing to high standards of service delivery. Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
