Full job description

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Shift Lead to support the smooth running of weddings, events, front desk operations, and evening restaurant service at The Moonraker Hotel. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, organisation, and customer service skills. The successful candidate will primarily work evenings and weekends, with occasional daytime shifts as required.

Key Responsibilities

Events & Weddings

Assist in the setup, coordination, and delivery of weddings and private events.
Act as a point of contact during events to ensure timelines run smoothly.
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain high service standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.

Reception Duties

Oversee front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming guest experience
Handle guest check-ins, check-outs, and enquiries efficiently
Manage bookings, phone calls, and administrative tasks

Restaurant Evening Service

Lead evening service operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and customer care

Working Hours

Primarily evenings and weekends
30-40 Hours per week
Flexibility to work occasional daytime shifts based on business needs
Shift Patterns vary. Daytime Shift: 9am - 5pm | Evening Shift: 4pm - 11pm | Event Shift: Latest finish 1am.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience in hospitality (hotel, events, or restaurant) in a supervisory role preferred
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
Excellent communication and customer service skills
