Overview

Fosseway Garden Centre, a premier destination within the Group, is currently seeking a talented and disciplined Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a chef who is passionate about fresh, seasonal ingredients and wishes to advance their career within a high-standard, daytime-only environment.

The Role

Working under the direction of our Head Chef, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a designated section of the kitchen. You will play a vital role in maintaining the reputation of our restaurant, ensuring that every dish—from our classic breakfasts to our contemporary lunch menu—is prepared to an exacting standard.

Key Responsibilities

Section Management: Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your specialty, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
Quality Assurance: Adhere to strictly defined recipes and presentation guidelines to maintain brand standards.
Food Safety: Ensure all HACCP and COSHH procedures are followed diligently within your station.
Development: Assist the Sous Chef in training junior members of the brigade and contributing to daily specials.

Candidate Requirements

Professional experience as a CDP or an experienced Commis Chef in a fresh-food environment.
Relevant culinary qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent) are preferred.
A "can-do" attitude with the ability to remain calm and organized under pressure.
Strong knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety regulations.
