The Role

This is a great opportunity to make your mark in North Oxfordshire. We are looking for mid-career Landscape Architect or an experienced Landscape Architect seeking a change of environment. You will ideally be a confident Landscape Planner with landscape design and implementation experience. You will provide robust, defendable critiques of landscape and visual impact assessments; have the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of landscape policy and guidance; and supervise the review of detailed landscape proposals and landscape implementation. You will be expected to help develop and monitor systems of working to ensure an effective and responsive landscape service. You will be supported by the Urban Design, Conservation and Environment Team Leader.

The Person

You will be a Chartered Landscape Architect with experience of working in multi-disciplinary planning environments. You will require a deep understanding of landscape and visual impact assessment. It is likely that you will have good experience of preparing LVIA’s and will have contributed to the preparation of landscape evidence for appeals. You may have experience of taking part in appeals as an expert witness. You will be familiar with landscape design and implementation best practice including play, SuDS and biodiversity. You will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to support junior staff.
