EQUIDRY is the market leading wet weather performance wear brand for equestrians. With a loyal customer base, strong profitability and ambitious growth plans, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Director to help lead the business through its next stage of growth.
This is a hands on leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, improving profitability, building commercial insight and developing the team and processes required to scale the business successfully.
Key Responsibilities
The Commercial Director will own the commercial performance of EQUIDRY and Drywalks across ecommerce, retail and wholesale channels.
Working closely with the founders, you will be responsible for understanding what drives growth, identifying opportunities for improvement, building reporting frameworks and ensuring commercial decisions are driven by data.
You will lead the development of the ecommerce and marketing functions while helping create a high performance culture across the business.
Commercial Performance
- Own revenue, profitability and commercial performance across all sales channels.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts and growth plans.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales, conversion rates, average order value and customer lifetime value.
- Monitor and improve gross margin and contribution margin.
- Evaluate promotional activity and pricing strategy.
Ecommerce
- Lead the ecommerce strategy across Shopify and associated platforms.
- Monitor website performance, conversion rates and customer journeys.
- Work with internal teams to optimise trading performance.
- Ensure customer acquisition and retention activity delivers profitable growth.
Reporting & Analytics
- Build and maintain clear KPI dashboards.
- Analyse customer, product and channel performance.
- Provide weekly and monthly performance reports to the leadership team.
- Develop a culture of data led decision making throughout the business.
Leadership
- Lead and develop the marketing, ecommerce and content teams.
- Establish clear objectives and accountability across departments.
- Mentor and develop junior team members.
- Introduce processes and systems that enable the business to scale efficiently.
Strategic Growth
- Support new product launches and category expansion.
- Evaluate new routes to market and growth opportunities.
- Work closely with retail and wholesale partners to maximise performance.
- Identify operational and commercial improvements that increase profitability.
Experience Required
- Proven experience growing a successful ecommerce or consumer brand.
- Strong commercial and financial understanding.
- Experience managing ecommerce performance, digital marketing and trading.
- Ability to interpret complex data and turn insight into action.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Experience working within founder led businesses is highly desirable.
