Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic bakery team member to join our team. We have 3 shops in Walton on Thames, Addlestone and Hersham. The ideal candidate would be able to work in all 3 locations at times and will be responsible for providing friendly customer service, preparing fresh food and ensuring a positive experience. This role requires an ability to switch between customer service, food preparation and cleaning.
A supervisory role would be preferred if you have some experience.
Duties
- Respond to customers quickly and politely as they enter our shop.
- Provide information about products and services, ensuring customers are well-informed.
- Take customers orders, prepare their order and take payment.
- Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and to sell our fresh products.
- All cleaning, washing up and clean as you go is all part of the role.
- Answer the shop phone in a polite and friendly manner.
- Collaborate with other team members and management to ensure a smooth running shop, bakery and business.
- Complete daily food safety checks
Requirements
- Proficiency in English is essential.
- Early morning shifts from 6am will be required.
- Shifts change weekly depending on staffing needs but generally shifts are scheduled between 6am and 5pm Monday to Sunday.
- Excellent verbal skills enabling great team work and customer service.
- Previous experience in a customer service, bakery and food preparation is advantageous.
- Takes direction well from other team members and management.
- Familiarity with upselling techniques is a plus.
