Hart Gymnastics Club is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Assistant Gymnastics Coaches to join our coaching team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, has a passion for gymnastics, dance, cheerleading or sport, and would like to develop their coaching skills within a supportive club environment.
You will work alongside our lead coaches to help deliver fun, safe and structured gymnastics sessions for children of different ages and abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the delivery of recreational gymnastics classes
- Support gymnasts with basic skills, progressions and confidence-building
- Help with safe equipment set-up and pack-down
- Follow session plans and guidance from the lead coach
- Encourage positive behaviour and participation
- Help create a fun, safe and welcoming environment for all gymnasts
- Support children with warm-ups, stretching, circuits and basic gymnastics skills
- Maintain high standards of safety and professionalism during sessions
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Enthusiastic, reliable and confident working with children
- Positive, patient and encouraging
- Interested in gymnastics, dance, cheerleading, sport or coaching
- Willing to learn and take direction from lead coaches
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Professional, punctual and organised
- Passionate about helping children develop confidence and skills
Essential Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people
- An interest in gymnastics, sport, dance or physical activity
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely
- Evening and/or weekend availability
Desirable Requirements
- British Gymnastics Level 1 qualification or above
- Previous gymnastics coaching experience
- Experience as a gymnast, dancer, cheerleader or sports coach
- First Aid training
- Safeguarding training

Licence / Certification
- British Gymnastics qualification preferred but not essential
