Commis Chef - Straight Shifts - Café 21 Fenwick

Up to £30500 - Recent college leaver preferred

We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Commis Chef to join Café 21 within the iconic Fenwick department store in the heart of Newcastle.

The Candidate

Must have:

A love of food
Experience of cooking in a commercial kitchen
Good energy and be team spirited
An eye for detail
Good organisational and communication skills
Career ambition

The Role

Working alongside our Senior Chef Will Scott-Burrows and Sous Chef Josh Robertson you will assist in the running of a busy section within an established team of chefs. The position comes with fantastic progression opportunities within 21 Hospitality.

The Person

To be successful for the role of Commis Chef you will have:
Experience of working as a Trainee or Commis Chef using fresh ingredients
Confident, creative and passionate about good food served well.
Knowledge of classic cooking techniques
The ability to work well within a team, be hard working and have a positive work ethic
Trained to Level 2/3 in a Professional Cookery qualification or have relative experience.
The ability to consistently meet customer expectations
A sound understanding of good food hygiene practices
An excellent command of the English language and a confident communicator
