We are looking for a Material Handler at Honeywell Poole site. As key member of the Logistics team for the portables/fixed business, the successful candidate will be expected to link across functions of Manufacturing, Sourcing, Suppliers and Couriers to ensure that the lines of communication are open across these functions to enable customer orders to be completed in line with their delivery expectation

Key skills and qualifications
- Methodical and organized approach to tasks with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with experience using SAP preferred.
- Background in gas detection or electronics is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with personnel across various backgrounds and levels.
- Self-motivated with initiative and high standard of written and spoken English

Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement processes and control measures for effective material handling.
- Prepare raw materials for manufacturing and collect finished orders, ensuring timely and accurate handling.
- Conduct cycle counting and investigate material discrepancies, escalating issues to eliminate bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to sustain material handling controls and ensure smooth operations.
- Safely move raw materials and finished products, while packing customer orders according to specific instructions and standards.
