Holmes of Beauty is an ambitious, award-winning salon group with exciting plans for growth. We're looking for an exceptional Accounts & Executive Office Administrator to work closely alongside our Managing Director, becoming a key part of the business and helping drive our continued success.
This isn't your typical office role.
We're looking for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys taking ownership, loves organisation and isn't afraid to think outside the box. You'll be trusted with everything from bookkeeping and payroll support to helping improve systems, managing diaries, coordinating projects and ensuring the business runs efficiently behind the scenes.

Your responsibilities:
Finance & Accounts
- Basic bookkeeping and day-to-day financial administration.
- Preparing payroll information and supporting monthly payroll.
- Processing supplier invoices and expenses.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Assisting with VAT returns and financial reporting.
- Liaising with our external accountant.
- Monitoring outstanding invoices and payments.
HR & People Administration
- Managing the onboarding process for all new employees.
- Preparing employment contracts and new starter documentation.
- Maintaining accurate employee records and personnel files.
- Managing HR software and ensuring records remain compliant and up to date.
- Coordinating employee inductions and onboarding schedules.
- Maintaining training records and the company training matrix.
- Monitoring mandatory training, certifications and probation review dates.
- Tracking annual leave, sickness records and employee documentation.
- Supporting recruitment by coordinating interviews and communicating with candidates.
- Assisting with payroll administration, timesheets and employee benefits.
Executive & Office Support
- Working directly alongside the Managing Director to support the day-to-day running of the business.
- Managing calendars, meetings and appointments.
- Responding to client enquiries and supporting salon bookings when required.
- Coordinating projects and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Supporting salon managers with operational and administrative tasks.
- Organising office systems, suppliers and general administration.
- Preparing reports, documents and presentations for management meetings.
Creative & Business Development Support
- Bringing fresh ideas to improve efficiency, systems and the overall client experience.
- Assisting with marketing campaigns, promotions and business initiatives.
- Supporting the implementation of new projects and business improvements.
- Creating professional documents, presentations and internal communications.
- Thinking creatively to solve problems and improve the way we work.
- Taking ownership of projects from concept through to completion.
We're looking for someone who...
- Has previous administration and bookkeeping experience.
- Has excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Is proactive, resourceful and takes initiative.
- Has outstanding attention to detail.
- Enjoys problem-solving and thinking outside the box.
- Is comfortable managing confidential financial and HR information.
- Can confidently juggle multiple priorities.
- Has excellent communication skills and enjoys working with people.
- Wants to become a trusted right-hand person to the Managing Director.
- Is excited about helping shape and improve a growing business.
Bonus points if you have experience with
- Payroll.
- Xero or similar accounting software.
- HR administration and employee onboarding.
- BrightHR or similar HR software.
- Microsoft Excel.
- Canva or basic graphic design.
- Social media or marketing.
- The beauty, retail or hospitality industry.

Pay: £12.80-£15.00 per hour

Education:
- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- Office management: 2 years (preferred)
- Bookkeeping: 2 years (preferred)
