We are looking for a skilled upholsterer to bolster our established team on a full-time basis.
At Atlas we design and manufacture quality, bespoke and long-lasting contract furniture for the hospitality, leisure and Marine industry across the UK, in Europe and beyond. As part of the Upholstery team, you will be joining a dedicated group of skilled individuals who take pride in their work and ensure quality at all points of the process.
The successful candidate will be able to hit the ground running - they will need to have excellent attention to detail and be able to produce work to the Atlas required high standards. You will need to be able to work as part of a team and not be afraid to ask questions.
Hours worked are 40 hours per week, either 7.30am to 4.00pm or 8.30am to 5.00pm
Skills required
- Relevant up-to-date experience in an upholstery role.
- Be able to do all aspects of Upholstery, including patterning, cutting, sewing, tacking
- The ability to take accurate measurements and work out amounts of materials
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good spoken and written English
- Patience and perseverance
- Safety-awareness
- Be dependable and professional
- Be resourceful and self-confident
- Self-motivated with the ability to work without supervision

Interview will consist of upholstering a unit in line with drawing handovers. Interviewee will require safety shoes/boots.
The role will be physically demanding, involving lifting and carrying furniture.
This role will be based on-site.
