Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong background in electrical work to contribute to diverse infrastructure developments. The successful applicant will possess a solid understanding of electrical codes and safety standards, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and safely.

Duties

Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform repairs promptly to minimise downtime.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to execute installations accurately.
Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out installation and repair tasks.
Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they develop into major problems.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and safe working practices.
Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to complete projects on time and within budget.
Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections carried out.

Experience

Proven experience as an Electrician is essential.
Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, as well as power tools including drills and saws.
Strong electrical experience with a comprehensive understanding of wiring systems, circuit breakers, transformers, and control panels.
Knowledge of current electrical codes and safety standards applicable in the UK (e.g., BS7671).
Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately.
Previous experience working independently or as part of a team on complex projects is highly desirable.
