We have an opening for a friendly, well organised Assistant General Manager to join our amazing team here at The Fox and Hounds Country Hotel. You will play a crucial role managing the Hotel to ensure that every guest has a wonderful experience when staying at the hotel or dining at our Heywood Restaurant.

This is a Full-Time position with both day and evening shifts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating and managing reservations for the Hotel and Restaurant
- Check-in, checkout, greeting and general guest help
- Liaising with Online Travel Agents and booking partners
- Taking calls and responding to email enquiries
- Running breakfast, lunch or dinner service (depending on shift)
- Recruiting, Training and Managing Front of House team members
- Managing bar stock and ordering from suppliers
- Setup and clearing
- Cash up and end of day reports
Experience and Requirements
- Experience working in a hotel with attached restaurant is very desirable
- Experience running food and bar service and larger scale events
- Experience of organising and managing staff
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and telephone manner
- Good computer literacy, with knowledge of common Microsoft Office and Google software.
- Experience with HR, Health & Safety, Fire Safety and other hospitality business regulations and requirements
- Detail oriented and consistently accurate
- Able to work independently and as an integral part of a team
- Some experience of hotel reservation and booking software is desirable.
Compensation is commensurate with experience and we're happy to discuss options and opportunities to fit the goals of individual candidates
Pay: £34,000.00 per year
