We are a fast-growing textile recycling and export business based in Wolverhampton, operating within the circular economy and sustainability sector.

We collect, sort, grade, and export second-hand textiles, footwear, toys, and end-of-line retail stock to global markets around the world. We are proud to play a key role in reducing waste and supporting reuse across international communities.
As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced and hands-on Operations & Compliance Manager to help take the company to the next level.
The Role
This is a key leadership role within the business, responsible for improving operational performance, warehouse organisation, compliance standards, and health & safety across the company.
You will work closely with the directors and warehouse supervisors to introduce structure, accountability, and scalable systems as the business continues to expand.
This is not a desk-only management role — we are looking for someone practical, proactive, and capable of leading from the front.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management
- Oversee daily warehouse and operational activities
- Support and manage warehouse supervisors
- Improve warehouse efficiency and workflow
- Implement KPIs and operational reporting
- Introduce and maintain SOPs/processes
- Monitor staffing, productivity, and operational performance
Health & Safety & Compliance
- Manage company health & safety procedures
- Conduct and maintain risk assessments (RAMS)
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
- Maintain training records and compliance documentation
- Lead audits and inspections
- Drive continuous improvement across safety and compliance standards
Leadership & Development
- Build accountability and operational structure
- Support staff development and training
- Work closely with directors on operational strategy
- Help create a scalable operational foundation for future growth
What We’re Looking ForEssential
- Previous experience in operations management, warehouse management, logistics, recycling, manufacturing, or a similar environment
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Experience with health & safety and compliance procedures
- Ability to manage people and improve processes
- Hands-on and practical mindset
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
- Experience implementing SOPs and KPI reporting
- Experience within recycling, waste management, export, logistics, or textile industries
- Continuous improvement/process improvement experience
- Experience working within ISO9001 and ISO14001 accredited businesses would be highly advantageous, as we operate to both quality and environmental management standards

Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
