Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscaping Assistant to join our hard landscaping team and support our head foreman installing various outdoor construction projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about developing premium landscape environments and develop their skills in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will assist with a range of tasks including all hard landscaping construction techniques, equipment operation, and site preparation, contributing to the creation of premium garden schemes.
Duties
- Assisting with landscape construction installations involving groundworks, paving and other hard landscaping features.
- Operating power tools and hand tools safely for various landscaping tasks.
- Supporting construction projects including the use of excavators and other machinery.
- Ensuring all work areas are kept clean, safe, and organised throughout the day.
Experience
- Previous experience in landscape construction or building is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and machinery such as excavators is desirable, but not essential, especially digger work.
- Basic understanding of construction techniques general construction practices is beneficial.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Must have an ability to listen and learn from our designers and other staff and have an eye for detail to ensure high standards of work quality. This position provides valuable hands-on experience in landscaping and is ideal for those looking to build a career in lanndscape construction-related fields.
Pay: From £30,000.00 per year
