We are a dynamic small business focused on delivering high-quality products/services to our clients. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a hands-on accountant who can manage our finances efficiently, assist in the company’s daily jobs and help guide smart business decisions.
We require a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including recording transactions and reconciling accounts.
- Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
- Credit control management.
- Strong IT skills, Sage Payroll & 50 Accounts.
- Managing VAT returns, PAYE and Pensions.
- Utilise accounting software such as Sage to maintain financial data.
- Prepare financial reports, statements, and summaries for management review.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Negotiating contracts in coalition with Directors.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
- Support audit preparations by organising necessary documentation.
- Answering company phone calls.
- Company credit card management.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information flow.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper, preferably within a similar industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software including Sage and other relevant platforms.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management.
- Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant qualifications such as AAT or equivalent are desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of UK accounting standards and regulations is welcomed. This position is paid and offers a dynamic environment where your skills will be valued and developed further.
Pay: £24,500.00-£25,000.00 per year
