Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced MOT Tester to join our friendly and dedicated team.

Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting vehicle safety inspections in accordance with legal standards, ensuring vehicles meet required safety and environmental regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for vehicle maintenance and a keen eye for detail to contribute to our reputable organisation.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, including cars and light commercial vehicles.
Perform routine inspections of vehicle components such as brakes, lights, tyres, suspension, and exhaust systems.
Utilise hand tools and power tools to carry out necessary adjustments or repairs identified during testing.
Record detailed findings and complete all relevant documentation accurately and efficiently.
Advise customers on vehicle condition and necessary repairs or maintenance work.
Ensure all testing procedures comply with current legal and safety standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an MOT Tester or in a similar vehicle inspection role.
Mechanical knowledge with a good understanding of vehicle systems and components.
Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Full valid MOT Testing licence recognised by the DVSA (Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency).
Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
Good communication skills to explain technical information clearly to customers.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This position is ideal for motivated professionals eager to apply their mechanical expertise within a supportive team environment, ensuring high standards of vehicle safety on the road.
