Full job description

Private Physiotherapy Clinics – Braintree & Halstead

We are looking for an experienced, organised, and enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join our friendly team on a maternity cover contract. This role will involve supporting the day-to-day operations of our busy private physiotherapy clinics in Braintree and Halstead.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a professional, supportive environment where patient care and teamwork are at the heart of what we do. We pride ourselves on being a friendly team and a great place to work, with a positive and welcoming atmosphere for both staff and patients.

Key Responsibilities

Managing and supporting the clinic team across both sites
Overseeing daily administrative operations
Handling patient enquiries and appointment bookings
Ensuring clinic policies and procedures are followed and kept up to date
Coordinating staff schedules and supporting team performance
Managing building and facilities-related matters
Liaising with contractors and service providers when required
Maintaining high standards of customer service and patient experience
Supporting the Directors with operational and organisational tasks

Essential Requirements

Previous experience in a management or supervisory role
Proven experience leading and managing a team
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Experience managing bookings, schedules, and customer enquiries
Ability to implement and monitor policies and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong IT skills and confidence using office and booking systems
Ability to prioritise workloads and work independently

Desirable

Experience within a healthcare, physiotherapy, or private clinic setting
Knowledge of healthcare administration systems
