Full job description

We are looking for an experienced, time-served butcher to join our friendly team at A. Willsher & Son, a long-established traditional family butcher’s in Marks Tey.

This is a full-time, permanent position for someone with solid butchery experience who is confident working independently and takes genuine pride in their trade.

The role

You will be involved in all aspects of traditional butchery, including:

Carcass breakdown and preparation
Cutting, boning, trimming and portioning meat
Preparing products for the counter
Maintaining excellent presentation and quality standards
Serving and advising customers
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene
Working as part of our experienced shop team

What we’re looking for

We are ideally looking for someone who:

Has at least 3 years’ experience in a traditional butchery environment
Has strong all-round butchery skills
Can work confidently and independently
Takes pride in producing high-quality work
Is reliable, hardworking and willing to muck in
Is friendly and comfortable dealing with customers
Understands the importance of food hygiene and cleanliness
