Job Purpose: As Quality & Inventory Controller, you play a critical role in supporting the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of Dura’s inventory and quality processes.
This role is fundamental to ensuring that:
· All inbound goods meet quality standards
· Inventory records are accurate, timely, and reliable
· Physical stock aligns fully with ERP/WMS data
Working closely with the Quality & Inventory Lead and cross-functional teams, you will help drive high operational standards, ensuring that data accuracy and stock integrity are maintained at all times to support safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Quality Control
· Carry out quality checks on all inbound goods (UK and overseas supply)
· Ensure all materials meet specification before being accepted into stock
· Produce accurate and complete QC reports for all inspected goods
· Identify, isolate, and clearly report non-conforming materials
· Liaise with Procurement and the Quality & Inventory Lead to ensure timely resolution of quality issues
· Verify customer returns and ensure any failures are accurately recorded and escalated
· Maintain strong product knowledge and attention to detail in all inspections
Inventory Accuracy & Stock Control
· Support the delivery of high inventory accuracy across all stock locations
· Complete scheduled cycle counts and stock audits in line with agreed programs
· Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies to root cause
· Ensure all stock movements are recorded accurately and in a timely manner
· Process stock adjustments and transfers in line with approval controls
· Maintain accurate stock labelling and location discipline across the Operations Centre
· Identify damaged or failed stock and ensure it is correctly segregated and managed
· Work with Operations teams to ensure stock is reworked or dispositioned appropriately
Systems & Data Integrity
· Ensure all goods receipts are processed promptly and accurately within agreed timeframes
· Maintain high standards of data accuracy across ERP/WMS systems
· Monitor and support resolution of system issues such as:
o Unspecified locations
o Negative stock
o Incorrect valuations
· Support system discipline across Operations and Purchasing teams
Collaboration & Problem Solving
· Work collaboratively with Procurement, Operations, Planning, and Finance
· Act as a reliable point of contact for stock and quality queries
· Support root-cause investigation of inventory and quality issues
· Contribute to reducing obsolete, non-core, and excess stock
Continuous Improvement & Compliance
· Identify opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and processes
· Support audits and compliance with ISO9001 and internal procedures
· Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail
· Ensure all Health & Safety requirements and PPE standards are followed
· Maintain high housekeeping and workplace standards

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience
- Experience in quality control and/or inventory management (minimum 1 year)
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and data integrity
- Good organisational and prioritisation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Experience with ERP/WMS systems desirable
- Current fork lift truck (FLT) licence candidates with previous operating experience will also be considered
Pay: £26,500.00 per year
