The main purpose of the role of Warehouse Controller shared between 2 staff members is to contribute towards the efficient day to day running of the Warehouse, ensuring that high
standards of quality and accuracy are maintained.
This will include but is not limited to.
· On Time Delivery – picking stock form VP warehouse and loading and off-loading
vehicles on daily basis (26t rigids and articulated lorries, as well as smaller vans and flat beds as and when required – multiple trucks a day)
- Managing / supervising warehouse operations, quality and document control
- Stock and waste management
- Service to operations – production stock picking and receipt, scrap bins, pallets and
packaging control
- Goods in / goods out control and supervision – booking in / checking of stock and
paperwork control
- Looking after the equipment
Main Duties
To contribute towards the efficient day to day running of the Warehouse, ensuring that high standards of quality and accuracy are maintained.
· On Time Delivery: manage / supervise warehouse operations, quality and document control to achieve on time delivery, customer satisfaction and the best productivity and performance of the team - picking stock form VP warehouse and loading and off-loading
vehicles on daily basis (26t rigids and articulated lorries, as well as smaller vans and flat beds as and when required – multiple trucks a day)
· Stock management: regular stock checks and stock management, assuring the accuracy of stock holding figures is correct and ensuring that any errors are brought to the attention of the manager. Allocating stock to correct bay locations making sure to avoid damaging any material
· Goods in / goods out control & supervision: working to the procedures to ensure correct processed documentation and booking in process, goods checked and counted, and discrepancies reported on internal / supplier NCR report
· Daily communication with transport planner and internal sales team to agree truck sizes, loading times, despatch times,
· Quick and efficient offloading and loading of the vehicles, collecting and delivery material to and from site, keeping the safety and quality standards to the highest level
· Looking after the equipment: Making sure that the equipment and tools used in the delivery or loading process remain in good condition and reporting any faults in a timely manner
· Organising and supervising efficient production picking and service to the operations on a daily basis
· Ensuring that the warehouse / goods in / yard areas are always kept clean and tidy including dealing with the waste management of aluminium / cardboard / plastic / general waste / wood
· Working closely with the other departments
· Any other Ad Hoc duties requested by manager
Working closely with the team to achieve performance measures:
· Measuring the performance of the team and dealing with any discrepancies
· Organise the compilation of day-to-day records and production data
· Organise material and equipment to achieve the daily production plan
· Maintain adherence to procedures and legislation, including Health and Safety and Company Rules

· Help motivate the team and work on self-motivation by using daily tools like; putting suggestions & improvements in place, running the start of day team meeting together, ensure follow up actions agreed by the team are completed
· Help to improve quality of products
· Any other Ad Hoc duties as requested by manager

· Good forklift driving skills and handling of long pallets 1-7m in length for both loading and offloading as well as locating and picking of cantilever racks - ideally with years of experience on both Counterbalance and Multidirectional trucks ( licence ideally in place pr to be refreshed )

· Good IT skills allowing to use Microsoft Package, ERP system and scanners
