Overview

Lead the fire at the town's funkiest spot! We want a creative powerhouse to master charcoal and wood fire cooking in a high energy global-soul kitchen. Manage the brigade, hit your margins and own the pass.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, from food preparation to team management, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and service. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional with strong leadership skills to shape the flavour and reputation of our establishment.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to food safety standards
Oversee food production, ensuring dishes meet quality and presentation standards
Manage and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment
Plan menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
Ensure proper food preparation, cooking, and serving techniques are followed consistently
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen in compliance with health regulations
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control efficiently
Implement training programmes for staff development and continuous improvement
Uphold high standards of hospitality and customer service through exemplary leadership

Requirements

Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Extensive food production and kitchen experience with strong culinary skills
Demonstrable team management abilities with effective leadership qualities
Proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
Previous restaurant experience is essential; hospitality background is highly desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
Strong communication skills to lead a diverse team effectively
Passion for delivering outstanding service and culinary excellence

Bonuses and holidays to be negotiated but both above average.

Pay: £55,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
