Swim Central is a growing independent swim school based in Preston, delivering high-quality swimming lessons for babies, children, and schools across the local area.
We are passionate about water confidence, safety, and progression. Our approach is structured but family-focused, ensuring every child receives the attention and support they need to thrive.

About the role…
We are looking for a Baby & Parent Swimming Instructor to join our team and deliver engaging, fun, and developmentally appropriate lessons for babies and pre-school children.
This is a part-time role with fixed weekly hours, ideal for someone looking for consistent work within a supportive environment.
You will be fully supported with ongoing training and development, and there are opportunities to increase hours as the swim school expands.

Key responsibilities
- Deliver safe, structured and engaging baby & parent swimming lessons
- Build water confidence in babies and pre-school children
- Support and guide parents/carers throughout lessons
- Adapt teaching to suit individual child development needs
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding and safety at all times
- Record attendance and monitor progress where required
- Create a positive, welcoming and calm learning environment
What we’re looking for
- A qualified swimming instructor (or working towards qualification)
- Experience or interest in baby and pre-school swimming (preferred but not essential)
- Patient, friendly and confident working with young children and parents
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for early years development and water safety
- Reliable and committed team player
Essential qualifications (one of the following)
- STA Level 2 Award or Certificate in Teaching Swimming
- Swim England Level 2 Teaching Swimming Qualification
- STA Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming
