1 PRIMARY FUNCTION:
1.1 To lead the final inspection team during the shift, progressively driving shift performance and adhering to inspection standards
1.2 To provide an excellent service to our customers ensuring clear and concise communication including job status updates
1.3 To consistently achieve and exceed KPIs respective to their department in terms of Efficiency, Quality and Health and Safety
1.4 To feed into the overall plan for the development of quality within the Blackburn facility
2 REPORTS TO:

3 TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
3.1 Manage inspector resourcing of the shifts (e.g absence/holiday management, overtime)
3.2 Manage training plan and competency matrix of Inspectors
3.3 Supervise staff to ensure accurate data entry and consistent testing output to required time scales
3.4 To escalate reported quality issues to operations and quality management team
3.5 Support root cause analysis of non-conformities and own corrective actions related to inspection
3.6 Manage inspector against performance objectives in line with company strategy
3.7 Manage inspectors performance against procedure adherence and code of conduct in line with HR Policy
3.8 Support documentation review and improvements related to inspection activities
4 EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
4.1 Relevant experience, preferably in an inspection setting.
4.2 Experience in team management/supervision
4.3 Minimum HND or equivalent in an engineering or scientific discipline
