Responsibilities

Prepare a wide variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with skill and consistency
Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in all kitchen areas
Select fresh, high-quality ingredients to ensure superior taste and presentation
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during busy hours
Innovate new sushi recipes and presentation styles to keep offerings exciting and fresh
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs for restocking
Uphold all safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations at all times

Experience

Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment
Strong knowledge of sushi techniques, knife skills, and ingredient handling
Familiarity with Japanese culinary traditions and presentation styles
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities
Certification in food safety or culinary arts is preferred but not required
