Neil's Auto Services offers nationwide vehicle logistics and a corporate vehicle delivery service from our base in Preston, Lancashire. We work for many of the leading car manufacturers offering a high level handover experience for our customers. We take pride in our fleet of vehicles and the services we offer.
The Role
We’re looking for someone reliable, professional, and who takes pride in their work and equipment.
Main duties will include:
- Collecting and delivering customer vehicles as scheduled
- Completing digital proof of delivery paperwork
- Carrying out vehicle inspections before collection and delivery, recording any damage where necessary
- Demonstrating vehicle functions to customers when required
- Providing excellent customer service at all times
- Checking vehicles and trailers daily and reporting any defects or faults to the office
A typical day involves completing scheduled deliveries before returning to load vehicles for the following day. We offer a degree of flexibility with working hours, and once all deliveries and collections are completed, you will be able to finish for the day.
Our Fleet
We currently operate a mixture of 7.2t and 5.2t Iveco Daily transporters towing 3.5t trailers, allowing for multi-vehicle deliveries. We also operate a 4x4 and 3.5t trailer and a covered transporter.
Working Away
Deliveries are typically carried out Monday to Friday; however, flexibility for occasional weekend work is essential.
Some overnight stays may be required during the week, although this is usually limited to a maximum of two nights per week. Hotels are fully booked and paid for by the company, with additional overnight payments provided.
Requirements
Applicants must hold:
- A minimum Category C1+E licence (This means you can drive C1 category vehicles with a trailer over 750kg. The combined MAM of both cannot exceed 12,000kg.)
- Driver CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph Card
Previous vehicle transport experience is preferred but not essential.
Experience using smartphones and tablets is essential, as all paperwork is completed digitally. Full training will be provided for the right applicant.
Excellent customer service skills are essential.
Please note:
This role involves long periods of driving and frequent early starts, so applicants should be comfortable with both.
