Care Training and Consultancy (CTC) is expanding its dynamic training team and is seeking a motivated, passionate individual to join us as a Health and Social Care Trainer. This is a developmental post, ideal for someone with strong sector experience who is ready to grow into a training role with full support and professional development.

Position Details
- Job Title: Health and Social Care Trainer (Developmental Post)
- Contract: Permanent or Fixed Term
- Hours: Part-time, 21 hours per week (3 days)
- Salary: Commensurate with experience
- Location: Browne House, The Crichton, Bankend Road, Dumfries, DG1 4ZZ
- Travel: Scotland-wide travel required; driving essential
About the Role
As part of the CTC Training Team, you will:
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based training across Dumfries & Galloway and Scotland
- Teach courses from the CTC portfolio, including First Aid and Moving & Handling
- Develop new educational materials aligned with CTC’s strategic direction
- Support unpaid carers to enable safe discharge from hospital or continued independence at home
- Maintain training records, evaluations, and CPD
- Promote best practice, teamwork, and continuous learning
- Contribute to shaping the future of health and social care training
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Experience working in health and/or social care
- Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to varied learners
- Confidence using ICT systems (e.g., Microsoft Office)
- Ability to organise workload, multitask, and work to deadlines
Desirable Attributes
- Teaching or training qualification (e.g., Cert-Ed)
- Experience delivering training or educational content
- Familiarity with online learning systems
- Understanding of the wider health & social care landscape

Additional Information
- Office hours: 8am–4pm
- Occasional work outside core hours may be required
