Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and supporting the organisation’s accounting functions. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic company environment while developing your professional skills in accounting and bookkeeping.

Duties

Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a regular basis
Assist with payroll processing and employee expense claims
Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant financial regulations
Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants as required

Qualifications

Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles preferred
Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial reconciliation
Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Relevant qualifications in finance or accounting are advantageous but not mandatory
