About Us:

We are a well-established, family run DIY and builders hardware store with a strong reputation for friendly service, expert advice and quality products. Serving both trade professionals and members of the public alike, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming environment where knowledge, reliability and teamwork are valued.

The Role:

We are looking for a motivated, hands-on supervisor to support the day-to-day running of our busy store. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with retail supervisory experience and a passion for customer service, DIY, building materials or tools and hardware.
As a supervisor, you will help to lead by example, maintain high standards and ensure that our customers receive first class service and product advice.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the management team in the daily operation of the business
Supervise, motivate and develop store colleagues
Deliver exceptional customer service to all of our customers
Assist customers with product selection and provide practical advice where appropriate
Ensure shelves and displays are well-stocked, organised and well presented
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering, stock control and deliveries
Handle customer queries and resolve issues in a professional manner
Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times
Assist with opening and closing the store if required

About You:

Previous supervisory experience in retail, DIY, builders merchants or similar environment
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, approachable manner
Good knowledge of DIY, hardware, tools, building materials etc. or a willingness to develop that product expertise
Basic IT and stock management skills
Reliable, organised and able to lead by example
