The Role
We're looking for an enthusiastic, organised and warm-hearted Children's Services Coordinator to lead our programme of activities for children aged 0–12 with additional support needs, disabilities or mental health conditions.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll plan and deliver a varied, stimulating programme - from inclusive club sessions and activity days to holiday programmes and themed weekends - whilst line managing a team of sessional staff, volunteers and trainees and making sure everything runs safely, smoothly and to the high standard our members deserve.
You'll be the heart of our children's services - the person who makes sessions feel fun, safe and full of possibility for the children and families who come through our doors.
Include Me 2 Club is a fast-growing charity on a mission to make sure every child, young person and adult with an additional support need, disability or mental health condition has the opportunity to thrive - and the platform to contribute. We're member-led, evidence-informed and genuinely passionate about what we do. If you share that passion, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Planning and delivering a regular, engaging programme of activities for children aged 0–12
- Leading, supporting and line managing children's services facilitators, volunteers and trainees
- Being the main point of contact for sessional staff and ensuring clubs run to expected standards
- Working alongside the Youth Services Coordinator to share staff and resources across services
- Ensuring child protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures are followed at every session
- Building relationships with schools, partners and families and maintaining referral and attendance records
- Contributing to senior management planning and helping to shape the future of Include Me 2 Club
What We're Looking For
You'll need:
- A qualification in Social Care, Community Development or equivalent (HND/HNC/SVQ2 or SVQ3)
- Extensive experience of working with children and young people, ideally including those with additional support needs or disabilities
- A solid understanding of child protection guidelines and relevant legislation
- Confidence leading activities and sessions - cooking, arts, crafts, games and more
- Strong communication skills with children, young people, families and colleagues
- A driving licence and access to a car (essential - you'll be working across multiple locations)
- The flexibility to work varied hours across different seasons and settings
It would also be great if you have a First Aid certificate, experience of monitoring and evaluation, or knowledge of the local area, but these are not essential.
Who You Are
You're patient, enthusiastic and organised. You have a genuine can-do attitude and a belief that every child deserves to have fun, feel safe and be seen. You're comfortable working as part of a team and equally confident using your own initiative. Most importantly, you care. And it shows.
Why Join Us?
At Include Me 2 Club you won't just be doing a job. You'll be part of a team that genuinely believes in what it does, supports each other through the tough days, and celebrates the moments that matter. We work flexibly, collaboratively and with huge amounts of heart.
Include Me 2 Club is committed to equal opportunities and positively welcomes applications from all sections of the community. This post requires a PVG scheme membership check.
