Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team and deliver exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for food preparation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee kitchen operations, develop innovative menus, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained at all times.

Duties

Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output.
Manage food production processes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
Oversee food safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with health regulations.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of ingredients and manage inventory levels effectively.
Lead menu development initiatives, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
Train new team members on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment.
Supervising experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Strong background in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques.
Extensive kitchen experience with a thorough understanding of culinary practices.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management.
Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and the ability to motivate staff.
Previous experience in restaurant settings or hospitality industry preferred.
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of service.
A genuine passion for culinary arts combined with a commitment to continuous learning and development.
