Health & Social Care Assessor / Internal Verifier (IV)

Salary: Up to £40,000 per year

Job Type: Full Time | Permanent

Location: Hybrid - Scotland

This isn't just another assessor role.

If you're an experienced Health & Social Care Assessor, you'll probably know the feeling.

Trying to squeeze observations between Teams meetings.

Driving hundreds of miles just to fit one visit into a busy day.

Working evenings to catch up on paperwork.

About the Role

You'll support candidates undertaking Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs) within Health & Social Care, guiding them from registration through to certification.

You'll carry out workplace observations, professional discussions, assessment planning and learner reviews while ensuring an exceptional learner experience.

We expect high performance, exceptional quality and a strong work ethic. In return, we give you the freedom, flexibility and support to do your best work.

Responsibilities

Assess candidates undertaking Health & Social Care SVQs.
Carry out workplace observations across Scotland.
Conduct professional discussions and learner reviews.
Develop assessment plans and agree achievable targets with learners.
Provide constructive, high-quality feedback.
Maintain accurate learner records in line with awarding body requirements.
Work alongside our Internal Verification team to maintain the highest quality standards.
Build positive relationships with learners and employers.

Who We're Looking For

You'll ideally have:

Current occupational experience within Health & Social Care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for developing others.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Confidence using Microsoft Office and online systems.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to applicants who already hold:

L&D9DI (or an equivalent Assessor qualification).
L&D11 (or an equivalent Internal Verifier qualification).
Experience assessing Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs).

Essential Requirements

Experience working within Health & Social Care.
Full UK driving licence.

Previous assessor experience.
Previous Internal Verification experience.
L&D9DI (or equivalent Assessor qualification).
L&D11 (or equivalent Internal Verifier qualification).
