Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Umpire to officiate games and ensure fair play in accordance with the rules of the sport. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the game, excellent communication skills, and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure. This role is vital in maintaining the integrity of the game and providing a positive experience for players and spectators alike.

Responsibilities

Officiate games by enforcing rules and regulations consistently and fairly.
Make accurate calls regarding plays, fouls, and other game-related decisions.
Communicate effectively with players, coaches, and spectators to explain decisions when necessary.
Maintain a professional demeanour at all times, demonstrating respect for all participants.
Stay updated on rule changes.
Collaborate with fellow umpire to ensure smooth game operations.
Manage game time effectively, including timekeeping and ensuring adherence to scheduled start times.

Experience

Previous experience as an Umpire is preferred but not essential.
A strong understanding of the sport's rules and regulations is crucial.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle conflicts calmly and professionally.
Ability to remain impartial and objective while making decisions during high-pressure situations.
Physical fitness is important as the role may require standing for extended periods and moving quickly around the field or court. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the sporting community while developing your officiating skills in a supportive environment.
