Experienced Roofer – Jobbing & Reactive Works

Glasgow & Surrounding Areas

£16–£22 per hour (DOE) | Weekly Pay

Full Time | Permanent

About Us

James Mearchent & Sons Ltd is a growing roofing contractor delivering high-quality domestic and commercial roofing works across Scotland. Due to increased demand in Glasgow, we are looking for a skilled and reliable roofer to carry out jobbing and reactive repair works.

This role suits someone confident working independently and solving problems on site.

The Role:

You will be responsible for:

Roofing repairs & fault finding

Slate & tile replacements

Leak detection & small patch repairs

Flat roof repairs (felt / single ply)

Lead repairs & flashing work

Chimney repairs & ridge work

Minor maintenance & call-outs

Most work will be small-to-medium repair jobs rather than full re-roofs.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum 4+ years roofing experience

Strong fault-finding ability (must be confident diagnosing leaks)

Able to work alone and manage own workload

Must hold a valid CSCS card

Clean, tidy and professional with customers

Full UK driving licence essential

Reliable and good timekeeping

This is not a labourer or improver role.
