Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Worker WITH UK LICENCE AND LIVES IN CUMBERNAULD to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a genuine passion for providing high-quality care within a care home environment. This role involves supervising and supporting care staff, developing personalised care plans, and ensuring residents' wellbeing is prioritised at all times. Applicants should have excellent communication skills, IT proficiency, and experience in senior care settings. A valid UK driving licence is needed WITHOUT THAT PLEASE DO NOT APPLY

Duties

Supervise and support care staff to deliver exceptional care services tailored to residents’ individual needs
Assist in the development, implementation, and review of personalised care plans in collaboration with residents and their families
Provide direct care to residents, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and medication management
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe environment for residents and staff
Foster positive relationships with residents, their families, and team members through effective communication
Organise activities that promote social engagement and mental wellbeing among residents
Maintain accurate records using IT systems for documentation, care planning, and reporting purposes
Lead by example in promoting best practices within the care home setting

Qualifications

Proven experience in senior care or a similar role within a care home environment
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Strong leadership skills complemented by excellent communication abilities
Knowledge of developing and managing care plans tailored to individual needs
Proficiency in IT systems relevant to healthcare documentation and communication tools
Valid driving licence is advantageous for transportation duties
Compassionate nature with a commitment to delivering person-centred care
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to changing circumstances
