Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Cashier/Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the friendly face of our store, providing exceptional service while efficiently managing transactions and assisting customers with their shopping needs. Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or answering inquiries in a professional manner
Operate cash registers accurately, handle cash, credit card transactions, and issue receipts with precision
Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to ensure a smooth customer experience
Upsell products and promote ongoing promotions to maximize sales opportunities
Restock shelves, merchandise displays, and ensure product placement aligns with merchandising standards
Provide product knowledge to customers, including features, benefits, and usage tips
Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimize wait times and enhance customer satisfaction

Skills

Strong communication skills for engaging with customers confidently and clearly
Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and giving correct change
Excellent organizational skills to keep the sales floor tidy and inventory well-managed
Time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-traffic periods
Phone etiquette for responding professionally to customer inquiries over the phone
Knowledge of merchandising principles to create appealing displays that attract shoppers
