As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Bookkeeper to join our Finance team.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled finance professional who enjoys taking ownership of financial processes and contributing to a growing, fast-paced business. Reporting into the Finance function, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end activities, managing VAT compliance, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the accounts function.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including bank reconciliations, journals, invoicing, supplier payments, and expense processing.
- Maintain Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ledgers.
- Support month-end close processes, including accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and journal postings.
- Assist with project cost allocation and financial reporting.
- Monitor aged debt and support credit control activities.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and maintain compliance records.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external accounting partners as required.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiencies.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience in a Senior Bookkeeper or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and month-end processes.
- Experience preparing VAT returns and performing reconciliations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Xero.
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Desirable Experience
- Multi-entity or multi-country accounting experience.
- Professional services or project-based business experience.
- Knowledge of payroll processes and statutory requirements.
