Overview
We are seeking a professional, compassionate, and customer-focused Registered Nurse (RN) to provide safe and hygienic ear and nose piercing services within a retail environment. The successful candidate will deliver high standards of clinical care while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
The Registered Nurse will assess suitability for piercing procedures, perform ear and nose piercings using approved clinical techniques, provide aftercare advice, maintain infection prevention standards, and ensure compliance with healthcare and retail regulations.
This role requires excellent clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work confidently in a customer-facing retail setting.
Duties
- Perform ear and nose piercings with high standards of hygiene, safety, and precision.
- Provide personalised consultations to clients regarding piercing options, aftercare, and jewellery choices.
- Maintain a clean and sterile work environment in compliance with health regulations.
- Manage appointment scheduling and client flow efficiently at the front desk.
- Assist with social media management by showcasing recent work, promotions, and client testimonials to attract new customers.
- Deliver excellent guest services by ensuring clients feel comfortable, informed, and satisfied throughout their visit.
- Upsell appropriate jewellery and aftercare products to maximise client satisfaction and business growth.
- Collaborate with team members on managing the overall aesthetic and customer experience of the salon or studio.
Requirements
- Proven experience in body piercing, particularly ear and nose piercings, with certification preferred.
- Applicants must possess:
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) qualification
- Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Degree, Diploma, or Associate qualification in Nursing
- Current CPR certification
- Up-to-date immunisation status in line with healthcare requirements
- Strong management skills to organise appointments and maintain hygiene standards effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to engage confidently with clients of diverse backgrounds.
- Experience or familiarity with social media management to promote services online.
- Customer service expertise with a friendly, professional approach.
- Additional skills such as eyelash extensions, makeup application, or hospitality experience are advantageous but not essential.
- Knowledge of deep tissue massage or guest services can be beneficial for broader client engagement.
