M W Waste Drainage Support Services Ltd is a well-established drainage and wastewater company providing services throughout Yorkshire, the North East and surrounding areas. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Driver / Operator to join our expanding team.
The Role
- Operating vacuum tankers and JetVac units
- Tankering of sewage, sludge and wastewater
- Emptying septic tanks and treatment plants
- Wet well and pumping station cleaning
- Drain cleaning and blockage clearance
- Assisting CCTV survey teams
- Supporting drainage repair and installation works
- Completing job sheets and electronic records using tablets
- Ensuring vehicles and equipment are maintained to a high standard
- Participating in an out-of-hours emergency standby rota to support customer call-outs and emergency response work
The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of drainage and wastewater operations including:
No two days are the same and the role involves working both independently and as part of a team.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence HGV Class 1 or Class 2
- Good communication skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Ability to work safely and follow company procedures
Desirable Qualifications
- EUSR Water Hygiene
- Confined Space Training
- Experience in drainage, utilities or wastewater industries
Training can be provided for the right candidate.
