Key Accountabilities
- Reporting to Brownfield Team Associate/Technical Director.
- Basic understanding of geological, geotechnical, and brownfield risks.
- Delivery of projects:
- Basic financial and project management awareness (understanding project finances and working to a budget).
- Supervise ground investigations and undertake remediation and earthworks validation works.
- Undertake soil sampling and ground gas / groundwater monitoring.
- Prepare Phase 1 & 2 reports.
- Effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and other project/business stakeholders.
- Provide technical and operational support to the wider Ayesa business including Brownfield North and South Teams.
What you will bring
- BSc and/or MSc in Geology/Engineering Geology/Geotechnical Engineering/Hydrogeology/Environmental Sciences.
- Ideally have relevant experience (up to 2 years), but recent graduates also considered.
- An awareness of UK standards.
- Clean Full UK Driving Licence.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Keen to learn and improve on technical and report writing skills.
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills necessary to work as part of a team and to engage with senior management, clients, and regulators.
- Basic technical understanding of brownfield engineering and contaminated land.
- Demonstrate an ability to understand complex problems.
- Can effectively communicate with clients, colleagues and outside agencies and build effective working relationships, always aiming to exceed client expectations.
- Excellent time and organisational skills allowing completion of work to time and budget.
