TIG Welder / Fabricator

Location

Near Colchester, Essex

Job Type

Permanent, Full-Time

Working Hours

Day Shift Only

Salary

£14-18 an hour, depending on experience

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced TIG Welder / Fabricator to join our production team on a permanent day-shift basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing and assembling high-quality stainless-steel products to precise specifications.

Experience within the catering, commercial kitchen, or food-service equipment sector would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

TIG welding and fabrication of stainless-steel components
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
Cutting, forming, grinding, and finishing metal components
Assembly and fitting of fabricated products
Maintaining high standards of workmanship and accuracy
Carrying out quality checks on completed work
Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently
Maintaining a clean and organised work area
Working collaboratively with production and engineering teams

Requirements

Proven experience as a TIG Welder / Fabricator
Strong stainless-steel fabrication experience
Ability to read and work from technical drawings
Skilled in sheet metal fabrication and finishing
Good attention to detail and quality standards
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude

Desirable

Experience within the catering equipment or food-service manufacturing sector
Experience working with commercial kitchen fabrication
Relevant welding or fabrication qualifications
