Activities Coordinator

You will plan and deliver meaningful activities that support residents' wellbeing, independence, rehabilitation, and social engagement. Previous experience in care, rehabilitation, or activities coordination is desirable but not essential. Join our dedicated team and help make every day meaningful for the people we support.
Location: Lime Trees Care Group, Harwich, Essex
Salary: £13 per hour
Hours: Part Time (2 days per week)

We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to join our team and make a positive difference in the lives of the people we support.
The Role
As an Activities Coordinator, you will design, organise, and deliver a varied programme of therapeutic, recreational, social, and community-based activities tailored to the individual needs, interests, and abilities of our Service Users.
Working closely with our dedicated care team, you will support Service Users to participate in meaningful activities that promote cognitive stimulation, physical wellbeing, social interaction, confidence, and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging individual and group activities.
- Working with Service User and their Key Workers, develop personalised activity plans based on service users' goals, interests, and abilities.
- Support Service Users with acquired and traumatic brain injuries to participate safely and confidently in activities.
- Organise community outings, events, celebrations, and recreational opportunities.
- Encourage social inclusion and meaningful occupation.
- Monitor participation and maintain accurate records.
- Source materials, equipment, and resources for activities within budget.
- Promote Service User choice, dignity, and independence at all times.
- Ensure all activities comply with health and safety requirements.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is creative, energetic, and passionate about improving quality of life.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Can motivate and engage people with varying cognitive and physical abilities.
- Is organised, flexible, and able to work independently.
- Holds a full UK driving licence (desirable).
