Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Payroll Assistant to join our busy payroll team for 3 days per week looking after the payroll processing for circa 200 businesses of various sizes. The successful candidate will support payroll processing, ensure accurate data entry, and assist with related administrative tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within human resources and accounting software systems, contributing to the smooth operation of our payroll functions. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to grow their career in payroll administration and human resources.

Responsibilities

Assist in processing employee payroll using BrightPay system.
Enter and verify employee data accurately within payroll.
Maintain organised records of payroll transactions, employee information, and related documentation.
Assist with month-end reporting related to payroll activities.
Support ad hoc administrative duties as required within the payroll / CIS department.

Qualifications

Proven experience with payroll systems and functions for multiple clients.
Familiarity with BrightPay payroll software is desirable.
Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Prior experience in payroll administration is essential.
Good communication skills and a professional approach to teamwork. This role provides a valuable platform for individuals seeking to advance their careers in payroll, finance, or human resources within a supportive organisational environment.

Pay: £14,196.00-£16,380.00 per year
