About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and values-driven Volunteer Co-ordinator to lead and develop Community360's volunteer programme, ensuring volunteers have a meaningful and rewarding experience while making a positive difference across our communities. In this key role, you will shape and deliver our volunteer strategy, overseeing the full volunteer journey from recruitment and induction to engagement, development, and recognition.
Working collaboratively with colleagues, volunteers, community partners, and stakeholders, you will foster a culture of inclusion, belonging, and empowerment, enabling volunteers to contribute their skills and time in ways that strengthen communities and support Community360's mission. Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Build on the C360 volunteer strategy aligned with the organisation's goals, including recruitment, training, retention, and engagement.
- Program Management: Overseeing all aspects of the volunteer program, from recruitment and induction to ongoing support and evaluation.
- Volunteer co-ordination: Leading and managing a volunteer pool, providing guidance and support to Heads of Department’s in which volunteers are located.
- Volunteer Engagement: Creating and maintaining a positive and rewarding volunteer experience, fostering a sense of belonging and purpose.
- Relationship Building: Building and maintaining strong relationships with volunteers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Policy and Procedure Development: Developing and maintaining policies and procedures related to volunteering, ensuring compliance and best practices.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analysing volunteer data to track program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Fundraising and Sponsorship: Identifying and pursuing opportunities to raise funds and secure sponsorships for the volunteer program.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading teams and managing projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse individuals and groups.
- Experience in implementing volunteer strategies, recruitment, and retention programs.
- Knowledge of best practices in the voluntary sector, including recruitment, training, and evaluation.
- Understanding of legal and ethical considerations related to volunteering, including data protection, health and safety, and safeguarding.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organisational and time management skills.
Desirable
- Experience in fundraising and grant writing, especially in the context of volunteer programs.
- Knowledge and/or experience of Community Transport programs
- Full valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
