Job Title: Panel Beater (Auto Body Repair Technician)
Job Summary:
Maldon Accident Repair Centre is seeking an experienced Panel Beater to join their ever growing team. As a Panel Beater you will be responsible for repairing damaged vehicle body panels, restoring vehicles to their original condition, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
Hours are Monday- Friday 7am-5pm, including 1 in 3 Saturdays. This will be based at our Maldon Bodyshop (company parking provided)

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess vehicle damage and determine the best repair methods
- Remove damaged panels and components
- Repair dents, scratches, and structural damage using hand and power tools
- Straighten vehicle frames and chassis when necessary
- Replace or repair panels using welding, filling, and sanding techniques
- Prepare surfaces for painting (priming, smoothing, masking)
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Communicate with colleagues, estimators, and sometimes customers about repair progress
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a panel beater or in auto body repair
- Level 3 Qualification is essential with up to date certification
- Knowledge of vehicle structures and repair techniques
- Ability to use tools such as welders, grinders, and hydraulic equipment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Physical fitness and manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
