Trainee Compliance Officer – Entry-Level Opportunity

Cumberland Packaging is a growing packaging manufacturer in Southend-On-Sea, delivering sustainable, high-quality packaging across multiple sectors. We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Compliance Officer to join our team and develop a career in compliance and quality.
This is an ideal entry level role for someone looking to start in compliance. No prior compliance experience is required.
Full training and ongoing support will be provided, including exposure to ISO 14001, BRCGS, and FSC standards.
As a trainee, you will gain hands-on experience, work closely with experienced team members, and support compliance activities across multiple sites, building a strong foundation for a long-term career in compliance and quality.
What You’ll Do:
- Support and manage Health & Safety across our sites.
- Assist with our ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Help maintain BRCGS Food Safety and FSC standards.
- Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
- Maintain and update compliance policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Monitor compliance risks and assist with reporting.
- Support staff training and awareness initiatives.

- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Full and valid UK driving licence with access to a car (role covers different sites within Southend).
- Right to work in the UK.
