Full job description

We're looking for a Cleaner to join our Facilities Management team based in Northfleet Technology College, Kent.

Location: Northfleet Technology College, Kent
Hours: 20 hours per week (term time only) - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Cleaner to join our team at Northfleet Technology College. In this role, you'll play a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for staff and students. Working Monday to Friday from 14:45 to 18:45, you'll ensure that the school building is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and tidiness.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Cleaner, you'll be working within the Facilities Management team, supporting them in delivering quality cleaning services. Your day to day will include:

Cleaning all areas including floors, surfaces, furniture, doors, sinks, mirrors and radiators
Emptying waste receptacles and disposing of waste correctly
Replenishing consumables such as hand wash, toilet rolls and hand towels
Following COSHH regulations and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
Reporting any maintenance or pest issues to your supervisor promptly

You have previous cleaning experience, ideally within a school, office or commercial building
You understand health and safety legislation, particularly COSHH and safe cleaning practices
You can prioritise tasks and manage your time effectively
You take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness
