Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the smooth operation of catering services, ensuring high standards of food presentation and customer satisfaction. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the catering industry, working in a fast-paced environment that values professionalism and attention to detail.

Duties

Assist with food preparation and presentation in accordance with health and safety standards
Serve food and beverages to customers in a courteous and efficient manner
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, and service stations
Ensure food safety procedures are adhered to at all times
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service delivery
Provide excellent guest services by attending to customer needs promptly and professionally
Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless catering experiences for events and functions

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality, catering environments is desirable
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and procedures
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and presentation standards
Excellent serving skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy setting
Good organisational skills with an eye for detail
Previous experience is advantageous but not essential
Flexibility to adapt to varying shifts and event schedules
