Overview
JB Autos Coleraine is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. This role offers an excellent opportunity for skilled mechanics to utilise their expertise in a dynamic environment, working with modern equipment and tools. Applicants must demonstrate strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to interpret schematics. A commitment to safety and customer service is essential.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough diagnostics using schematics and technical manuals to identify vehicle faults
Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and electrical components
Utilise hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repair tasks efficiently
Carry out equipment repair and maintenance to ensure workshop safety and operational efficiency
Assist with vehicle assembly or disassembly as required for complex repairs or modifications
Execute heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment
Maintain detailed records of all work carried out and communicate findings clearly to customers
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and JB Autos standards

Experience

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic in a professional workshop environment
Strong mechanical knowledge across a broad range of vehicle makes and models
Proficiency in reading technical schematics and mechanical diagrams
Hands-on experience with the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly processes
Experience in vehicle maintenance, equipment repair, and general workshop duties
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently under pressure
